This is the site of "The Frances Maple Syrup Experiment 2009". I thought it would be nice to have someplace to post pictures and update everyone on the progress we have made.

Becca and I collected 50 gallons tonight and added it to the pot. We also had 40 from Sundays collection. Brother Tim reports a 33 trashcan full to the brim. The scary thing is we have 2 more VERY warm days before we start boiling. We may be in trouble!

Love your blog, me and two buddies on our second year in Lunenburg, VT. See you got the bug just like we did. Purchased a 2x4 pan for this year and have 100 taps, 120 gallons sap in storage tonight. You have a great looking 2x6, may need the builders name in the next couple years. Definately build that sugarhouse when you can. Ours is built from beg, borrowed and stolen supplies. Great fun for the off season! Love the pooches too, we have a yellow lab mascot. Thinking of having her name legally changed to "Sap"! Keep it fun. Dennis C. Catbow Falls Maple Guys
